Corsica River Yacht Club

Corsica River Yacht Club is located in a remote area outside of Centreville, MD at 589 Conquest Road. The facility has wide-open lawn areas for parking, unloading and rigging of boats. A modest sandy beach area is used for launching, and spectators can relax under trees lining the shoreline or under CRYC’s covered pavilion. It’s a very relaxing environment away from the bustle of everything. Restrooms are available, but there is no clubhouse – just the covered pavilion. Coach boats can be launched a short distance away at the public ramp in Centreville. A public ramp permit is required and CRYC usually has a few for loaning so please check. There is a small floating dock and pier for tying up after launch.

Racing is typically held in areas directly out from the launch area or further out in the Corsica River, so spectating is from a distance. Large fleets will be sent into the Chester River where spectating is only available by boat. There are no convenience stores (Wawa, Royal Farms, etc), gas stations, drug stores or hardware stores in the immediate vicinity (at least 15 minutes away), so it’s a good idea to plan ahead accordingly.
